About Me
Hi, I’m Bence Kocsis. Piano improvisation and composition are my true passions, and I pursue them as a hobby and lifelong journey. From the very beginning, I didn’t follow the traditional path — although I had a teacher early on, I quickly became self-taught and started doing things my own way.
I continue to learn and develop my skills as I go. Along the way, I started creating a practice system for piano improvisation — one that isn’t tied to any specific style but is rooted in the universal language of music itself. This system is still a work in progress as I keep refining and expanding it.
I believe free improvisation is a wonderful, magical art form. In today’s world, many musicians learn strictly from sheet music, which is absolutely valuable — but real improvisation is something special: finding the moment, the flow, and allowing the music to just pour through you.
That’s what I want to bring back — the magic and spontaneity of true musical freedom.
The Journey & The Birth of Harmony Guide
As I’ve progressed on my musical journey, I’ve been fascinated by the idea of discovering connections — in harmony, in music, and beyond — to create something fresh and meaningful. This curiosity gave birth to the Harmony Guide.
The idea had been with me for many years, but it was only recently that I decided to develop it fully and share it with others to help them learn and grow. PianoMind has become my platform to bring these ideas to the world.
I’m continually developing new tools and resources to support piano practice and inspire creativity, and I’m excited to share this ongoing journey with you.
